A Little About Me
I started my artistic path with a focus on portraiture, where I developed a keen eye for detail and emotion. Originally from Chelsea, Quebec - with Gatineau Park in my backyard - my love for the outdoors soon began to influence my subject matter, sparking a connection with landscape painting. Art school in Ottawa was followed by a new sense of fulfillment, particularly as I began accepting commissioned work. Today, I balance my time between private commissions, continued studies and developing theme-based series - from hiking trails, hidden waterways, well travelled sites to the forest floor. I use oil paint in thick layers which are reworked to include key details, orchestrating and directing the eye to the focal point.
I hope you enjoy viewing my paintings as much as I enjoy making them.

I paint in a variety of sizes and ensure to continue the subject on the borders, giving the client the option to keep the painting unframed.
